Exports are predominantly done through the port of Rotterdam where Base is represented by TIMERFRUIT one of the most respected names in the business.

TIMERFRUIT is an excellent trading company that also believes strongly in the direct relationship between the grower and themselves, and so this is a great marketing and philosophy fit.

Timerfuit serves the whole of Europe, where they place fruit in the best performing market at any given time. They are an efficient and cost effective operation, which maximizes returns to the farm gate.

France.

France is handled separately and Base is currently setting up alternative arrangements to handle product there.

UK.

The difficult UK market is made up of three distinct market segments, and Base is lucky enough to have representation by the RODANTO company in Greenwich, who are active in all these areas.

This company has been in existence for more than half a century, and provides excellent representation in the supermarket program arena, which is vital in the UK, and also in the significant and reviving wholesale markets and to the essential catering trade.

Middle East, Russia, Far East.

BASE has arrangements with reputable Middle Eastern buyers via a large and well respected trading house there, as well as contact with a few smaller traders who cover the niche markets.

USA and Canada

Our wine interests are handled in the States by two very dynamic import companies, one being in the Midwest (Chicago) and the other on the East Coast in New York.

The Islands

Base have recently joined hands with a major and very reputable trading house in Mauritius, and to succesfully handle this business they have started an association with a South African stationed on the island, and is looking forward to growing this business.
